“Prayer catapults us onto the frontier of the spiritual life. Of all the Spiritual Disciplines prayer is the most central because it ushers us into perpetual communion with the Father” (Richard Foster, Celebration of Discipline, 33).
Northview’s vision statement declares that we are meaningfully and powerfully led by the Holy Spirit through worship and prayer. We desire this to be true of us so we want to put aside time for prayer in the life of our church. Beginning in March, anyone interested will gather on the last Friday of the month from 7:00–8:30 for prayer.
As a part of this, we will be studying the work of Jim Cymbala, When God’s People Pray. Please speak with Alfred Armah, 306-541-9611, for more details.
