God is all about community. When God creates the cosmos he finishes by creating the human couple in his image. When he calls Abraham he promises to make him into a nation that grew into the nation of Israel. Jesus forms a discipleship group that grows into the church. Community is essential to God’s plan for humanity. This is why community is so important at Northview.
Northview focuses on the community at a congregational level by having regular times to connect. When the world is not in lockdown due to COVID, we have regular potluck lunches together after a Sunday service. As well we have regularly scheduled events like games nights.
While these large events are great they don’t always allow for intimacy that would lead to deeper relationships. To go deeper we encourage everyone at Northview to participate in a small group that we call Life Groups. We have several Life Groups that are still in progress despite COVID. Most of our Life Groups are mixed meaning that there are young, old, single, married, and families with children.
