Almost Christian: “Do You Even Know Me?”
Christianity is not simply ticking a box for our preferred religion, nor is it merely holding the correct beliefs. Jesus came announcing that the kingdom of God had come. At long last God was putting everything right through Jesus. Everywhere Jesus went he demonstrated the presence of the kingdom with power. This was particularly good news for the disenfranchised of Jesus’s day. If our lives are not concerned with extending the kingdom to all then we are honouring Jesus in words only.
