Breaking Idols: “Joy”
From where does our joy come? We try to be happy, but so often even our happiness is tinged by sadness. Life can seem harsh and, at times, empty. What can really change our circumstances and therefore our perspective? Isaiah describes a future when sorrow will give way to joy, even as the desert bursts forth into new life. All of this hinges on God responding to our needs.
