Competing Kingdoms: “Humble Wisdom”
A king that seeks to serve under the kingship of God must recognize their own shortcomings. This is precisely who Solomon is. He recognizes that if he is going to serve God and the people as good or better than his father David then he needs the very wisdom of God. This humble request is a good place from which to begin leading.
