Foundations of Free Methodist “Gospel for the Poor”
A key part of our Free Methodist history was a recovery of the gospel of Jesus being especially for the poor. Throughout church history there has always been a temptation to make Christianity respectable and powerful thus shutting out the poor. Our founders, Wesley and Roberts, kept bringing the gospel back where it belongs.
