Our Inheritance, Pain and Gain
Suffering is not a sign of God’s displeasure. When God adopts us to be his children we are sharing in Christ’s Sonship (grace/gain), but this is only true because we also share in his suffering (pain). What this birthright grants us is the ability to live risky lives for the sake of the kingdom. Like the old adage says, “No pain, no gain.”
