Praxis: Telling the Truth…Even If It Kills Us
Jesus told the truth and he was crucified for it. The world runs on lies. We lie to ourselves, we lie to each other, and we lie to God. We believe we cannot survive without lying. But, Jesus doesn’t just tell the truth, he is the truth. To be Jesus’s people means we become a community that is crucified to the world and its lies. We, by the power of Jesus’s Spirit in us, must tell the truth about ourselves, each other, and God. Only by first becoming a community that embody’s the truth can we faithfully witness to the gospel.
