Prayer Book: “Promise of Peace”
In the in-between time of Jesus’s coming and coming again, we long for peace. That longing is expressed in prayer, calling on God to keep his promises to make all things new—including us! But, prayer isn’t a wishful hope for a new future. When we pray for peace, we are committing ourselves to be a peaceful people.
