Christians often have a bad reputation because we can be negative about the human person. Of course, proper Christianity has nothing to do with hating people. What we are emphasizing is that we cannot begin to think that we have something to offer God that would make him save us. Even the best of us will not make us right with God. Only dependance on Jesus’s person and work will make us God’s children.
