No one would have blamed them, after all, they didn’t really have a choice: they were slaves, they were single, and they didn’t even have a family. But, when it came time to decide, they chose to risk it all knowing it very well mean their own deaths. Shiphrah and Puah were two midwives who displayed integrity in the face of Pharaoh’s madness.
